Hey, remember that time last summer when I was walking through the park in my hometown, Shenzhen? It was a sunny Saturday afternoon, and the place was buzzing with families and joggers. I noticed something odd: there were more recycling bins than usual, and they were actually being used! People were separating their trash into recyclables and non-recyclables with a surprising level of enthusiasm.
I struck up a conversation with a young mom who was sorting her kids' snack wrappers. She told me she'd started doing this at home after a school talk about the importance of recycling. She mentioned that her son, who's in the fourth grade, now asks her if something can be recycled before he throws it away.
It's amazing how a simple talk and a few extra bins can spark such a change. I wonder, though, how long this momentum will last? And what other small changes can we make in our daily lives to keep the environment in mind?
